First time poster here and could really use some help! Apologies if this is not the appropriate place to post. Just ate a soup dish with steamed clams. While eating saw that one of the clams was closed and when I opened it it was completely filled with black gunk inside. I took it out and without thinking much of it finished the rest of the dish.
Only after finishing I started to think about it more and get nervous. After doing some research it seems to be a “mudder” or a clam that died and filled with mud. Any health concerns with finishing the rest of the soup/dish that had the “mudder” in it? Couldn’t find any answers online so would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
