My mom can't eat potatoes so I want to make a papas con Chile Verde (potatoes with salsa Verde) substitute with turnips. I'm making it in the slow cooker so I can free up stove space for other meals that I will be cooking that same day. I only found one recipe so far that says high for 5 hours. All the others cook on low Does anyone have experience cooking turnips in slow cooker on high and have an idea on how long it takes to cook and if the texture is affected of cooked in high? I will be adding the homemade salsa in with the turnips from cooking start time.
