How do I use better-than-buillon?

I have some of this in my cabinet that I was given, but haven't used it before. Is it like for adding more meat-y (depending on the type of BTB it is) flavor to a soup/stew? This is a dumb question because I should probably just open it up and try some, but figured I'd ask.
