Refrigerating donuts after frying

We generally wait between 10-15 minutes before icing donuts after they come out of the fryer because they are too hot and the icing will wrinkle and set in an unappealing way. Would refrigerating them for 5-10 minutes immediately after frying have any impact on the internal structure or profile? Sometimes we are out of certain flavors and in a hurry to restock. Thanks!
