I’m trying to get the kids off fast food and they’re very picky eaters. I let the grandparents buy them happy meals when they went out for fast food more than I’d like to admit. They won’t eat just cut up chicken if it’s not breaded. It doesn’t even have to be chicken. I’ve bought vegan chicken nuggets in the frozen aisle and they loved them. They like cut up chicken patties as well. I think it’s more about breading and ketchup. I want to make a healthier version of chicken nuggets just to get them more used to eating what I cook so I can transition them back into better eating habits. My son is autistic and will have a meltdown over food, so I’ve learned to pick my battles.
