How to clean my meat slicer

Ive recently got the Chef's Choice Premium Cast Aluminum Food Slicer from costco. Ive just cut some raw beef tenderloin with it and I've noticed it can get messy (my mistake not firming up the meat in the freezer). During the cleaning process am I supposed to:

  1. Clean behind the blade? 1a. If so, I am to clean out the mineral oil grease and reapply (everytime?!) The grease doesnt appear to want to come off in hot (hottest setting on my tap) and dawn soap so I just left whatever is left (still a lot of original grease)

  2. There are some notches that I can not get into, how would you clean these notches? (e.g. the track that the meat holder glides on)

Thank you.
