Icecream from fridge to freezer

Last night my mate took some icecream and the dumbass put it in the fridge instead of the freezer. Tonight I spotted the ice cream in the fridge (so it's been in there for little less than a day). I churned the icecream and put it in the freezer. Should I leave it now or throw it away? I heard refreezing icecream is a bad idea.

EDIT: I churned it after I already put it in the freezer for a bit
