Shoyu Noodles?

I've been enjoyed packaged "shoyu noodles" (just add hot water) and I'd like to make some from scratch. I bought a bottle of shoyu. But every "shoyu noodles" recipe I can find asks for "soy sauce" and some other flavourings, such as dried mushrooms and seaweed. Do I just use the shoyu in place of soy sauce, or does "shoyu" have some other meaning?

Edit: for example, here's a recipe for "Vegan Shoyu Ramen" with no shoyu in it -- ?
