Hello! I made a steak marinade with cornstarch slurry in it and now that the meal is over, there’s a bunch of it leftover but it’s all clumpy now. I know I can reheat it in a pan with some water to help out the consistency but I am unsure what to use it in for a new meal. Any suggestions?
I am a vegetarian who cooks for a non-vegetarian husband. I love cooking for him; however, I can’t use his leftovers for my own meals so I’m at a loss for what to do with this leftover marinade.
Recipe used for marinade in case it helps answer my question better:
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic, 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 3 green chillies. Then, cube-cut green pepper, red onion and chopped whites of spring onions. Next, 2 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbsp red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp white vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, cornstarch slurry of 2 tbsp cornstarch powder mixed with 1/2 cup water, salt & pepper to taste.
Thank you kindly!
