How do I make fruits like avocado... "savory"?

I've seen people (online) eat avocado toast. In real life, I've only ever seen avocado on fruit salads, milkshakes, smoothies, juices, etc. It's not meant to be savory, I thought. Then I see avocadoes paired with meats or beans and I think it's weird that a fruit is PART of the dish and not as a side.

Do I make the FRUIT ITSELF "savory" or pair it with something savory? How? Spices? Acid? Pouring meat juice over the fruit?

God bless you guys. Salamat sa Dios!
