Can I Just Add Gelatine to Store-Bought Broth to Make it Taste Homemade?

I was told the major difference between store-bought broth and homemade was that the gelatine that comes out of the carcass gives it a nice mouth feel, and store-bought broth lacks that, no matter how much you reduce it.

So can I just add some gelatine and get the same effect?
