how much extra time should i cook a one skillet pasta that requires to be covered without having something to cover it?

i’m making a one skillet italian sausage pasta and i’m supposed to bring it to a boil, reduce heat and cook for another 15 minutes but i’m using a cast iron skillet that i don’t have a cover large enough for.
