Lima beans/butter beans as baked beans?

Hello, Do you think it would be good/work as a recipe to replace navy beans or other small beans with dried lima beans/butter beans? What are your opinions? I know it wouldn't be authentic. For example, use a recipe for baked beans like with molasses/bbq sauce, but with lima beans/butter beans instead of the more traditional type of bean.
