I want to perfect my Mac and cheese but am really struggling on getting it to be creamy. It always seems to get soaked into the macaroni and comes out dry.
Mixture: 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp flour 2 cups of half and half
I probably use around 3 cups of Parmesan cheese and sometimes some Cheddar.
This will be for about a pound of pasta.
What am I doing incorrectly? Is it just not enough liquid for that much cheese? I don't usually bake it, just combine it altogether and broil just long enough for it to brown on top.
