Best Practices for Cooking Frozen Steak

So, steak is one of those things that I NEVER freeze. But recently Prime Rib Eyes were on sale at my local grocery store for less than half price, so I bought a few extra to throw in the freezer. I'm planning on defrosting and cooking this weekend. Am I ok to just cook like I normally would? I usually just season with salt and Montreal Steak Spice and sear in a cast iron skillet until I get to medium rare. Are there any extra steps or precautions I could or should be taking to preserve the integrity of the steak?
