Slow Cooking Chili for 24 hours?

Would cooking a chili or cooking It tonight and then letting it "keep warm" for 24 hours be bad?

My partner wants that "second day is better than the first" taste with his chili so we were discussing the best way to do this...

I was thinking cook tonight, refrigerate. Then heat up tomorrow in slow cooker.
