I'm trying to make Thomas keller's sweet potato agnolotti from the French Laundry Cookbook.
The sauce calls for creme fraiche, but i can't find any where i live (middle east).
I looked up ways to make it at home, but we also don't have butter milk here.
So I'm wondering what is the way to get the best crème fraîche with what i have available.
I have access to sour cream, yogurt, greek yogurt, and ayran (made from milk, unlike cream for butter milk).
Or alternatively what can i replace crème fraîche with.
