how do I fix my oily, separated cream based soup?

I made a soup with vegetables, and 3/4 lbs of bacon, with water and buttermilk as the liquid. There is now a layer of oil on top and putting the liquid in a jar I can see the dairy and water separated too....

How can I fix this? It has really great flavor and put alot of good groceries into this :(
