Chouriquo Spicy red sauce?

This is vague but over a decade ago my friends uncle made a dish he pronounced Shar-Reese. It was just sausage and green beans. I believe it was that.

It was in a spicy red liquid that was tasty. I swear he said it was a polish dish but maybe my memory confused it with Portuguese which makes more sense as I can't find any similar polish dishes.

My question is what would likely be the sauce? It was spicy, thin, and red. Sorry that is the best I have!

It sucks because it was very tasty but I don't know if it was chicken and tomato or what. It didn't have any pasta or garlic type taste. It looks almost like a lot of Cajun sauces I've seen so maybe he used Chorizo and sazon or something. in fact the closest I've had to it is cambels spicy jumbo soup

Either way if a soup like that doesn't come to mind. Anyone have any good sauces that are spicy and chicken/tomato/red pepper based? It was delicious and maybe he used a bunch of paprika, tomato base, and red crushed peppers or something for all I know haha. I just know it didn't have strong tomato or chicken taste.

Sorry I'm new to cooking. Wish I wrote down meals I've had with others.

PS: Speaking of spices. Are there any named super popular brand blends like Tajin, Sazone/Old Bay, that people or countries use in a ton of dishes? Kind of like a must have for that specific country?
