"Dry Aging" prime rib for 2 weeks.

This might be a good safety issue, but my partners parents bought a prime rib home around 2 weeks ago and it's been in the fridge on a wire rack uncovered, with dad saying he's "dry Aging" it. All of the info I see is raw steak should be in the fridge 3 -5 days... Is it safe to eat once it's cooked?? I'm terrified to eat it. 😬😬
