First time cooking pork leg for Christmas. What are your tips ?

As mentioned in the title, i will cook a pork leg for the first time ever, and will do so on Christmas eve.

It's a small piece, about 6/700g and boneless, already prepared with a bit of string around, so i am thinking to roast it.

I have seen a few recipes online, but all of them are for 3 to 5 pounds (1.5 to 3kg). What would be the cooking time for this piece ? Below instructions are for 3 pounds, I will have a bit less than 2 pounds. (15min at 425 F then 50 minutes at 375F?)

Heat the oven to 425 degrees F. Allow the roast to sit at room temperature while the oven is warming, about 30 minutes.

Insert a meat thermometer probe into the middle of the roast and place the pork in the hot oven. Roast it for 15 minutes, then lower the heat to 375 degrees F and continue roasting until the meat thermometer reads 145 degrees F. In my oven it takes 75 minutes (about 25 minutes per pound).

It seems flipping the meat is not necessary on this recipe, is it due to the wire rack ? (I don't have one and will DIY something with some aluminium foil as seen elsewhere, if it makes any difference).

Any other tips I should look for?

Thanks!
