Basmati rice gone bad?

Back in 2020, I went on a pandemic food shopping binge like so many other people. I ended up buying a lot of bulk dried ingredients and regrettably (but also predictably), I’m just getting around to cooking some of it. I found some dried basmati rice in a sealed container (not original packaging) that smells like what I can only describe as crayons. I haven’t made basmati rice in a while, but I don’t think I remember it smelling that way or it being already aged when I bought it. Is it safe/will it taste ok if I thoroughly rinse it?

On the same subject, I also have some dried corn and beans from the same era that I’d like to cook. Will it be ok if it doesn’t smell bad?

Edit: the basmati rice isn’t parboiled either
