Seeking advice for first timer - wok refinishing and seasoning

Hello, I was gifted a new wok a year ago, and after having some difficulties "bluing" it on my electric glass top stove, I shelved the project for longer than anticipated.

It rusted heavily in the open air. Today I achieved what I believe is a decent result stripping the rust off using a vinegar water mixture and steel wool. https://i.imgur.com/meimNDf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/l7LxWky.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MaenRvO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YR5p0H3.jpg

I am trying to season it using an oven technique using the method from this video (4 20-minute oiling sessions at 425).

I'm on session two and think it looks pretty decent but was curious what this blemish was at the bottom of the wok. I'm pretty sure it's the area that I was able to blue, but not sure if something was stripped, or it's some type of permanent burn/blemish.

I guess I shouldn't let it bother me as the goal it to eventually darken the wok through use; just curious.

Really appreciate any input or general advice. Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit: After the second session, there was some browning on the pan that didn't look right. I don't think it's the residual rust returning; maybe I used too much oil or didn't wipe off the excess properly with the dry paper towel. https://i.imgur.com/9s4PuZg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5bpRFqH.jpg
