Best/Correct way to prepare and cook Blue Crab?

I've various ways to prepare - steam, boil, grill but have gotten different opinions on what's right or wrong. I know blue crabs have a toxic 'mustard'. I've seen some say to cleaning and gutting the crab immediately instead of boiling it with the toxins, which makes sense to me.

In general, would appreciate any tips at and and am always trying to learn. Thanks!
