How can I dispose of brine?

I'm making salt pork, and I'll need to soak this in water to cleanse the salt out before eating it, but that'll create very salty water. How can I safely dispose of it?

I have a septic system, so the sink is not a solution, as the salt will kill beneficial bacteria. Some salt is fine, but I may need other solutions for more regular disposals.

In summer, I was thinking a bucket, and just let the water evaporate and dispose of the salt left at the end, but that won't work too well if it rains or doesn't get warm enough to evaporate it. In winter, it'll freeze, so my second solution would be to pour it into old drink containers and put them in the garbage, but taking out a funnel every time may get annoying. Boiling it down is going to just heat up the house.

Does anyone have any better ideas?

Also, on the subject of salt - there will be excess salt left after making the salt pork. How can I reuse it? Do I need to do anything to wash out the pork flavouring?
