I want to make apple fritters Sunday and bring them in for friends on Tuesday, how do I prevent them from getting soggy?

I made apple fritters a couple weeks ago and after one day they went from crispy to soft and soggy. I want to make more fritters to give to my friends but I don’t want them getting soft. How do I prevent the fritters from becoming soggy?
