Hey all, not sure if this is the right place for this question since it is more of a restaurant equipment question, feel free to yell at me.
My roommate picked up an Anvil SLR 7412 "Heavy Duty Cheese Slicer" at a garage sale and the working area of the slicer is coated with a teflon type of non stick material. After some searching, I am seeing that the cut sheet for the slicer states that it isn't suitable for raw/frozen meat slicing. The unit has a 1/2 HP motor and a 10" blade, which seems like plenty for light duty slicing of meat for home use.
Anyone have experience with this sort of slicer or any reason why I can't use this to slice the odd roast for making cheesesteaks?
