I want to like tacos but I hate them

I have tried different kinds of tacos from reputable venders, but they always taste like ****.

Tacos with lime squeezed over them are the worst. They taste like ****** lime and nothing else. How do people enjoy that. Just bite into a citrus fruit and smell meat while doing so. I don't even dislike limes, but it's just so overpowering.

The only relevant kind of taco I still want to try are Birria Tacos, but there are no good places in my area that have them and I am unable to get some of the key ingredients.

Rant aside, why do people love tacos so much, respectively what is your experience with tacos.
