What is the point of making one's own butter? Is the flavor superior?

I've seen a lot of videos and such in my feed about "Never have to buy butter again! Make your own!" and it shows how to make butter from heavy cream with a stand mixer.

I have a stand mixer. But I do not have cows. So my options are to go to the store and buy cream and do a bunch of work and make a mess to make my own butter....ooor spend less time and money to just buy butter.

I know you can incorporate other things like garlic and herbs into the butter, but I can do that with store bought butter too.

Seriously, is there a point for non-farmers/homesteaders or are these just re-runs from COVID-inspired boredom?

Thank you for humoring me, all you people also on Reddit on Friday evening,.

AI probably isn’t the big smartphone selling point that Apple and other tech giants think it is
