Is dry ice necessary to keep ice cream frozen on a 1 hr drive?

Hello, I want to buy some special ice cream made from a place far from me.

I see a lot of people say you should use dry ice for long road trips, but it is costly and I only need it to last around 1 hr before I can reach my freezer.

Will 4 layers of freezer bags work (like the reusable grocery bag for frozen food)? Or could I use a cooler and regular ice? I don't want it to soften up too much, ruins the texture.

What if I put regular ice in a freezer bag inside of several other freezer bags? Should I put the ice cream directly in the bag with the ice? Do I need to bring salt to add to the ice?

Consider the ambient temp. of the car around 70 degrees F
