My friend argues that a gas stove is superior to induction but my research seems to suggest otherwise what am I missing?

According to my research (strictly performance wise, not cost, or compatibility with pots etc), induction is always superior to gas stove except for maybe deep wok stir fry.

It has better efficiency, faster, and achieves the same temperature at the cook surface.

This video for example, says it’s better simmering, sauntering, boiling. And a tie for searing.

I’m not a chef or pro cook. But I’ve tried to do my research and I don’t see why my friends and a lot of others said gas is superior. What am I missing?
