Opened store bought lemon curd and found a greening spot near the edge/lid, what’s up with that?

I’m assuming it’s not safe but I’m curious about the possibilities.

Does botulism have visual tells?

It doesn’t necessarily look like mold, did the lid react with the curd?

I’d post photos but seems against the rules.
