I’ve tried 2 different recipes:
https://www.ellielikes.cooking/vegan-mochi-cake/
https://christieathome.com/blog/hawaiian-butter-mochi/
With the only common denominator being the coconut milk. Tried different sugars and mochi flour, and they both came out tasting and smelling pretty sulfuric. The only thing I can think of at this point is maybe not letting it cool long enough (the recipe says to cool for at least 2 hours, I only waited for 1 hour) to let all of the gasses and steam to dissipate maybe? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
