Is it weird that our induction cooker measures watts instead of degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit?

My parents bought a new Hanabishi induction cooker. And from what I can see is when cooking, instead of increasing or decreasing the temperature via °C or °F, it shows how much wattage is used.

Like when cooking the only thing I can do aside from clicking the pre-sets is by increasing the wattage from 100 watts to 200 watts. Is this normal?
