What’s The Biggest Culinary Mistake You’ve Ever Made?

I’ll go first: I was making caramel for the first time 7 years ago and decided to taste how caramelized the melted, boiling sugar was. It stuck to the roof of my mouth and tongue and I couldn’t get it off until it cooled. I couldn’t taste anything for 6 days and was like cooking a hot pocket for 23 minutes in the microwave and immediate eating it.
