kale question

I have several bunches of kale. The problem is the leaves are limp. IDK why, but the vendors around here are out of it. This was the best I could find and there isn’t more coming. Can it be refreshed like celery, by cutting the bottom and setting it in a jar of water? I need it to last until Wednesday eve.
